In Graphics We Trust

Every once in awhile, a designer’s site comes along that catches your (or my) attention. Not to say I’m jaded…ok, maybe I am, but it seems like 90 percent of design portfolios are filled with clichés, rips and other uninspired works. It’s not snobbery, it’s a fair assessment, because that’s just the way the world works. It’s true for every profession. There’s only so much room at the top. Like all else the same holds true for the Graphic Design category. There’s the 5-star elite group, a small cadre of professionals including people like Emil Kozak, Nigel Dennis, Damien Correll, Rik Catlow, Adhemas Batista and Peter Reid, to name a select few.

Perhaps I could add Polish artist Sebastian Onufszak to the list, as I knew in the first five seconds of viewing his work, that he’s hovering around up there in terms of quality. It’s work that is deep, complex and layered with detail not often found. It’s not exactly a style I gravitate towards, but it deserves mention nonetheless. Good look courtesy of QBN.
