Poul Henningsen
As part of my recent, stepped-up appreciation of mid-century modernism and its ensemble of award-winning designers, I stumbled upon Danish architect, author and critic Poul Henningsen, whose lighting design is as relevant now as it was in the 1920’s and beyond.
His work is truly beautiful and deservedly commands a relative price, which, unfortunately puts most of us out of his range. Nonetheless, just the joy of looking at his work for a spell is enough to set me right. View some of his work here on the Y Lighting site.
